Chelsea vs Liverpool:Will Chelsea be Left Feeling Blue? Or Will Liverpool be Left Red in the Face?

Tomorrow night will see the return of Friday night football when Chelsea take on Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will be looking for a more clinical performance tomorrow night after Sunday’s draw with Swansea. Chelsea were dominating at the Liberty Stadium, however, they struggled to finish off the Swans and were punished. If it wasn’t for Diego Costa’s spectacular overhead kick late on, Chelsea would have been leaving Wales with nothing.

Chelsea have otherwise been excellent under Conte this season, winning three and drawing one of their opening games. With Costa and Hazard now back to their best, Chelsea will be quietly confident of a result against their Merseyside rivals.

Chelsea’s downfall has been their defence, with only one clean sheet to their name so far this season. Also, John Terry is out with ankle injury,  so David Luiz is set to make the first start since his return to the Bridge alongside Gary Cahill.

Predicted line-up: Courtois, Ivanovic, Luiz, Cahill, Azpilicueta, Kante; Hazard, Matic, Oscar, Willian, Diego Costa

Liverpool will be looking for more consistency after a indifferent start this season: winning two, drawing one and losing one.

Jurgen Klopp’s men will be buoyed off the back of a convincing victory against the Champions at the weekend.

However, they were very poor against a well drilled Burnley side and were beaten comfortably at Turf Moor.

We may see the first start for Loris Karius after the keeper returned to full training this week. Although, the return might be a little to soon for the German.

Predicted line-up: Mignolet,Clyde,Lovren, Matip, Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Lallana,Mane, Firmino, Sturridge

I expect the game to be full of goals, as both teams have been lethal in front of goal so far this season and poor in defence.

Chelsea’s performances under Conte has been regimented and disciplined and, even with Liverpool’s performances against Arsenal and Leicester, I expect that Liverpool will struggle to break down Conte’s side and Chelsea will take full advantage on home soil.

Predicted score: 4-2 home win.
